Puçol, located between the sea and the mountains, is a town that exceeded 19,500 inhabitants in 2017
On the northern edge of the L'Horta Nord region lies Puçol, a town that captivates visitors with the harmony that permeates its streets, along with a certain Mediterranean flair and the friendliness of the local people. The motto“Puçol, between sea and mountains”It has been a distinctive feature of the municipality's image.
The landscapeThis is the first thing that surprises the accidental tourist, since the municipal area ranges from a mountainous area located inland, 48 meters above sea level, passing through the central orchard, completely flat where the cultivation of citrus fruits stands out, to the more than 2 kilometers of beach, the main tourist resource of the town, which for a decade has been bordered by a seafront promenade and by the breakwaters that protect the sand from the onslaught of the Mediterranean.
The municipal areaPuçol is located in the northernmost part of the L'Horta Nord region, bordering the Camp de Morvedre region, with the town center 18 kilometers from Valencia, the capital of the Autonomous Community. This number is somewhat arbitrary, as the town's area is 18.11 km², bordered to the south by the town of El Puig de Santa María, to the north by Sagunto, and to the east by the Mediterranean Sea.
The term hasthree urban centersInland, at the foot of the Sierra Calderona mountain range, lie three residential developments that share a boundary between Puçol and Sagunto (Alfinach, Los Monasterios, and Monte Picayo); the town center and industrial parks are located in the surrounding agricultural area; and Puçol beach is situated along the Mediterranean coast. Together, they currently have over 19,500 inhabitants.
To get to Puçol you can go by car, bus, train and, for the more athletic, by bicycle or on foot.

Three roads lead to our village:
If you enjoy driving on secondary roads, the local roads connecting El Puig and Puçol, and Lliria and Puçol, are highly recommended. Part of the tourist route dedicated to the restoration of the old town runs along them.Via AugustaThe longest Roman road in the entire Iberian Peninsula, which crosses the Valencian Community. Both can be easily explored by bicycle.
If you're coming by bus...
You have to take the Metro-Bus line between Valencia and Sagunto, departing from the Valencia bus station and a route that runs along the old Barcelona road, passing through towns in the region, such as Tavernes Blanques, Meliana, Albalat dels Sorells, Massamagrell, La Pobla de Farnals and El Puig, before arriving in Puçol, the penultimate town on line 110 of the Valencia Metropolitan Buses (MetroBus), whose final destination is Sagunto and the Port of Sagunto.
The average journey time by bus from Valencia is 48 minutes and there are currently 7 trips from Valencia to Puçol and the same number from Puçol to Valencia.

If you come by train...
You can reach Puçol using the commuter train lines from Castellón to Valencia and also from Caudiel to Valencia. Departures are from the Estación del Norte (North Station) and the average journey time is 25 minutes.
From Monday to Friday there is a train approximately every half hour, and on weekends every hour in both directions. You can check thescheduleson the Renfe Cercanías website in Valencia.
