Another important building we can find is the Talaia Tower, also known as La Torreta. Built in the 14th century, it is considered the oldest house in the municipality. Its purpose was to protect and watch over the town from potential attacks.
The tower is Moorish in style and is constructed of stone, tile, and mud brick. Its location in the old town (on Calle de la Torreta) makes it all the more interesting and majestic.
It is now a private residence and cannot be visited inside. However, it has been restored and is listed as a Site of Cultural Interest due to its historical and cultural significance.
